Rome

Couple photography in the eternal city

Six in the morning, and Rome is still asleep. The lanes are empty, the stones still hold yesterday's warmth, and the first light touches the domes.

In a few hours this place will be full of people. Right now there is only you, a city almost three thousand years old and the sound of your footsteps.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Rome

A city that looks like a film set

Fountains, piazzas, ochre walls covered in ivy, Vespas in the alleys. In Rome every corner has a story and every frame has depth.

For a couple this means variety within a few steps: from the grandeur of the monuments to the intimacy of a small café in Trastevere. We walk, we get lost, and we photograph whatever happens between you.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

In Rome the light is warm almost all year round. The challenge is the crowds, so we build the session around the hours when the city is yours.

Sunrise

Empty piazzas

The monuments without people and a soft, rosy light on the stone. The best time for the most famous spots.

Morning

The lanes

Sun and shadow in the alleys, freshly washed cobbles, the first coffees. Quiet, authentic moments.

Sunset

The hills

From above the city turns golden. Domes, roof tiles and an apricot-coloured sky.

The places

Where we photograph

We plan the route together, depending on the light, the crowds and how much you want to walk.

  • ColosseumThe city's most powerful symbol, ideal in the first light.
  • Trevi FountainOnly very early in the morning, before it fills up.
  • Spanish StepsThe steps and the view over the streets of the old town.
  • PantheonThe great columns and the piazza in front of it.
  • TrastevereIvy, Vespas, cobbles and small cafés.
  • AventineThe Orange Garden, overlooking all of Rome at sunset.

Before you travel

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

Spring and autumn are ideal, with mild temperatures and soft light. In summer it is very hot and the city is crowded, so we shoot only very early and late. Winter is quiet, with a low, golden sun all day.

The time that matters

For the monuments we start at sunrise, before the visitors arrive. Some locations have rules for professional photography, and we check them before the trip.

Styling

Rome loves elegance: classic lines, satin, a well-fitted suit. White and warm neutrals blend with the ochre walls. The cobbles call for comfortable shoes for moving around.

The experience with us

We know Rome before it wakes up

We have photographed here in every season. We know which piazza empties first, which alley catches the morning light and when it is worth changing route. So you live your walk, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Sunrise at the monumentsWe start in the dark to find the famous spots empty.
  3. The lanesCoffee, walking, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A breakWe rest when the light gets harsh and the city fills up.
  5. Sunset from aboveRome golden at your feet, the most tender part of the day.
