Wedding photographer in Patras
Our studio is in Patras, at Korinthou 304, and we have been photographing weddings here since 2013. Many of the couples we work with live abroad and come home to Patras, or to a family village in Achaia, to get married. We know these churches, estates and roads well: where the light falls at the hour of your ceremony, how long the drive from the house to the church really takes, and where to stop for portraits before the sun goes down.

How we photograph a wedding
We see wedding photography as storytelling: who you are, what you feel, what makes you laugh. We don’t stage your day. We stay close, watch, and keep what happens as it happens. A look, a hand that holds on a little tighter, a hug that lasts longer than anyone expected. That is usually where the truth of a day is.
Our work is natural, documentary wedding photography. You can see it in full in the stories below, from getting ready and the ceremony to the family moments and the party.
We want you to feel at ease with us, as if we were family. Then the photographs keep not only what the day looked like, but how you lived it. You don’t need to know how to pose. Where a little direction helps, as with your portraits, we keep it simple. The team is made up of steady, experienced photographers and videographers who have worked together for years; you can meet them on our About page.
Patras and Achaia, through the lens
Within a short drive of Patras there are great city churches, stone chapels in the green, estates above the sea, and the Rio–Antirrio bridge on the horizon. Each choice changes the rhythm of your day and the light in your photographs.
The city’s great churches
At Agios Andreas (Saint Andrew’s), the patron church on the seafront, the walk to the altar is long and guests spread across the whole church, which is where a second photographer earns their place. We photographed Andreas and Dimitra’s wedding here. Pantokrator, in the Upper Town, stands next to the Castle, so your portraits can begin a few minutes after the ceremony without getting back in the car. At Agios Eleftherios we photographed Alexis and Mina’s wedding.
Country chapels
In the chapels of Achaia, most guests stand outside in the courtyard, and the trees and the natural light become part of the ceremony. At Agia Marina in Sella, where Andreas and Ioanna were married, stone steps and the shade of the trees gave soft, even light from start to finish. Agios Anastasios above Drepano has a plane-tree courtyard with views over both gulfs. It is popular, so book it months ahead.
Estates, sea and light
When we look at a venue, we ask where the sun sets, how far it is from the church, how it is lit at night and where everyone goes if the wind picks up. Ktima Panagiotopoulou in Lambiri has its own small beach; Angelos and Katerina held their reception there. At Idilofon in Platani, Rio, lights strung over the pool and the view of the bridge closed Andreas and Ioanna’s day. Above the city, Achaia Clauss, the historic winery, has stone courtyards, vines and views over the Gulf of Patras.
Aigio
Near Aigio, Liopetro and Ktima Karoumpalou each have a chapel within the estate, so the ceremony and the reception happen in one place. Here we photographed George and Nafsika at a venue overlooking the sea, and Giorgos and Eirini, with a ceremony in a chapel among the trees and a garden reception.
Seasons and timing
The wedding season runs from May to October. May, June and September give you good weather without the heat of high summer. In late June the sun sets around 9 pm, which leaves time for golden-light portraits before dinner. If you are planning an Orthodox wedding, note that the Church usually does not hold weddings on certain dates, including 1–15 August, 18–25 December and the weeks of Lent before Easter. Always confirm your date with the parish.
Getting here, and getting married legally
Getting here. Most guests fly into Athens; Patras is about two and a half hours away by road. In summer there are also direct flights from several European cities to Araxos, about 45 km from Patras. From Italy, ferries connect Bari and Ancona with the port of Patras.
Civil, religious or symbolic. In Greece both civil and religious weddings are legally valid once registered; a symbolic ceremony is not. In Patras, civil weddings take place in the town hall’s ceremony room or in other municipal venues designated by the City of Patras. Couples from abroad usually need a passport, a birth certificate and a certificate of no impediment, with an Apostille and an official Greek translation. We’re photographers, not legal advisors, so please confirm the paperwork with your embassy, the municipality or the parish.
Weddings in Patras and Achaia
Whole days, from getting ready to the last dance.
“If I could turn back time and had to choose a wedding photographer again, I would choose Dimitris and his team without a second thought.”
Before and after the wedding day
Pre-wedding. A session for the two of you before the wedding, in the city, by the sea or somewhere quiet. Photographs, a short film or both, for a save the date, your invitations or a screening at the reception. It is also the easiest way to get to know us.
Next day. After the wedding, in your wedding clothes, at a separate session that doesn’t have to be the very next day. Angelos and Katerina had a next-day session just for the two of them. Alexis and Mina continued their story in Paris.
