The lake is as still as a mirror. The mountains are reflected in the water and a boat leaves a thin trail behind it.

On Lake Como everything moves more slowly. Villas with gardens, small harbours, stone villages beneath the Alps.

Why Lake Como

Elegance with the Alps as a backdrop

Lake Como combines the grandeur of historic villas with the nature of the mountains. It is one of the most romantic landscapes in Europe.

For a couple this means calm and elegance: a garden overlooking the lake, a ride in a wooden boat, an alley in Bellagio.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

We plan the route together, depending on the light, the ferry timetables and how much you want to move around.

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

From April to October. Spring brings gardens in bloom and autumn warm colours on the mountains. In winter many villas and hotels close.

The time that matters

We start early, when the lake is still and the villages are empty. We keep the afternoon for the water.

Styling

Classic Italian elegance: flowing dresses, light-coloured suits, linen. Pastels and white blend with the villas and the green of the gardens.

We have photographed here in every season. We know which village empties first, when the wind picks up on the lake and how to combine the ferries so we do not lose time. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a permit for the villas?

Most historic villas require a permit or booking for photography. We check this in advance and plan the route accordingly.

Is the boat ride worth it?

Yes. From the water you see the lake as no one sees it from the shore, and sunset on the lake is magical.

Do you travel from Greece for the shoot?

Yes. We travel with you or meet you there. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the most popular seasons. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
