Why Positano

The Mediterranean at its most photogenic

Positano is built on the rock, overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Every step opens a new view, every terrace is a ready-made frame.

For a couple this means summer, colour and sea in every image. From the main beach to a small boat out at sea.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

Before you travel

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

May, June and September are ideal, with warm water, soft light and fewer people. In July and August the village is crowded and we only shoot very early. In winter many shops and hotels close.

The time that matters

We start with the first light, before the shops open and the lanes fill up. In the afternoon we return for the golden light on the terraces.

Styling

Light, summery fabrics: linen, silk, a dress that moves in the breeze. Bold colours such as lemon, coral or sky blue look wonderful against the village. And comfortable shoes for all those steps.
