Puglia & Alberobello

Couple photography among trulli, olive groves and white towns

Small white houses with conical stone roofs, straight out of a fairy tale. A lane climbs between them and the town is still asleep.

Puglia is the Italy of the south: simple, bright, with sea, olive trees and a warmth that embraces you.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Puglia & Alberobello

The sun and stone of southern Italy

The trulli of Alberobello, white towns on hilltops, fishing villages on the cliffs and olive groves that reach all the way to the sea.

For a couple this means variety and authenticity: a fairy-tale lane in the morning, a swim in the Adriatic at midday, a sunset among the olive trees.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

In Puglia the light is white and bright. In the morning it flatters the whitewashed houses, and in the afternoon the olive groves turn golden.

Sunrise

The trulli

The lanes of Alberobello empty and the stone roofs in the first light.

Morning

The sea

The cliffs and blue waters of Polignano and Monopoli.

Sunset

The olive groves

Ancient olive trees and a warm, low light.

The places

Where we photograph

We plan the route together, depending on the light and how much driving you want to do between towns.

  • AlberobelloThe Rione Monti district with its hundreds of trulli.
  • OstuniThe "white city" on the hill.
  • Polignano a MareHouses on the cliffs and the Lama Monachile cove.
  • MonopoliThe old harbour with its blue boats.
  • Olive groves & masserieAncient olive trees and stone farmhouses.

Before you travel

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

May, June, September and October are ideal, with warm weather and fewer people. In July and August it is very hot and the villages are crowded, so we shoot early and late.

The time that matters

We photograph Alberobello at sunrise, before the visitors arrive. We keep the sunset for the olive groves or the sea.

Styling

White, linen and light colours blend with the whitewashed houses, while a bold colour stands out among the olive trees. The cobbles and cliffs call for comfortable shoes.

The experience with us

We know the south of Italy

We have photographed here. We know when the trulli lanes empty, where the cliffs are quiet and how to combine the towns without losing the good light. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Sunrise among the trulliWe start in the dark to find Alberobello empty.
  3. The white townsLanes, steps, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A breakA swim, a meal by the sea, rest while the sun is high.
  5. Sunset in the olive grovesGolden light among the olive trees, the most tender part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

Can we combine Alberobello with the sea?

Yes. Distances are short: the trulli in the morning, Polignano or Monopoli at midday and the olive groves at sunset.

Will Alberobello be crowded?

From midday it fills up. That is why we start at sunrise, when the lanes are almost empty.

Do you travel from Greece for the shoot?

Yes. We travel with you or meet you there. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the most popular seasons. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
