Cotswolds

Couple photography in the English countryside

A row of little stone cottages the colour of honey, a stream in front and roses around the doors.

The Cotswolds are the England of the movies: quiet, romantic, with hills fading into the horizon.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Cotswolds

The most romantic English countryside

Stone villages, bridges over streams, pubs with fireplaces, gardens full of flowers and hills dotted with sheep.

For a couple this means tenderness: a walk through a quiet village, a meadow at sunset, a cup of tea in an old pub.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

The English sky works like a natural softbox: soft, even light. And when the sun comes out, the stone turns golden.

Morning

The villages

Quiet lanes, mist over the meadows and the stone in the first light.

Afternoon

The gardens

Flowers, hedges and English gardens.

Sunset

The hills

Golden light on the meadows and an open horizon.

  • Broadway TowerThe tower on the hill, overlooking the whole area.

Before you travel

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

Spring and summer bring gardens in bloom and long days. In July the lavender flowers. Autumn brings golden colours and winter quiet, atmospheric villages.

The time that matters

We photograph the best-known villages early, before the visitors arrive. We keep the sunset for the hills.

Styling

Romantic and classic: lace, flowing dresses, a tweed jacket. Soft and earthy colours blend with the stone and the green. For the meadows, shoes that do not mind a little mud.

The experience with us

We know the quiet villages

We have photographed here. We know which villages stay quiet, where to go when it rains and how to combine the distances without losing the good light. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Morning in the villagesWe start early, in the empty lanes and on the bridges.
  3. The gardensFlowers, hedges, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A cup of teaA break in an old pub, rest and warming up.
  5. Sunset on the hillsThe meadows in golden light, the most tender part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

Can we combine London and the Cotswolds?

Yes. The Cotswolds are about two hours from London. Many couples spend one day in the city and one in the countryside.

What if it rains?

In England rain is part of the atmosphere. We always have a plan with covered locations, and cloudy skies give soft, beautiful light.

Do you travel from Greece for the shoot?

Yes. We travel with you or meet you there. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the most popular seasons. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
