Bucharest

Couple photography in the "little Paris" of the East

An avenue lined with belle époque mansions, a domed concert hall and a park spreading out around a lake.

Bucharest was once called "little Paris". And in its quietest corners, you understand why straight away.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Bucharest

A city of contrasts

Neoclassical mansions, arcades, Orthodox churches, great parks and one of the largest buildings in the world. Bucharest has many faces.

For a couple this means variety: elegance on the avenues, warmth in the lanes of the Old Town, calm in the parks.

It is the perfect place for an after-wedding session a few days after the wedding, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

In Bucharest the light is warm in summer and low in winter. The large parks give soft light even at midday.

Morning

The avenues

The mansions and façades in the first light.

Afternoon

The Old Town

Lanes, arcades and warm corners.

Sunset

The parks

The lake and the trees in golden light.

The places

Where we photograph

We plan the route together, depending on the light, the crowds and how much you want to move around.

  • Romanian AthenaeumThe concert hall with its dome and columns.
  • Calea VictorieiMansions, palaces and elegant façades.
  • Old TownThe lanes around Lipscani and the old arcades.
  • King Michael I ParkThe great lake, ideal at sunset.
  • Peleș CastleA day trip to the Carpathians, about two hours away.

Before you travel

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

Spring and autumn have mild weather and beautiful colours in the parks. Summer is hot, while winter is cold and often snowy.

The time that matters

We photograph the avenues and the Old Town early, before they fill up. We keep the sunset for the parks.

Styling

Elegant and classic: a good suit, a dress with character, a coat in winter. Warm neutrals and deep colours blend with the mansions.

The experience with us

We know the city's quiet corners

We have photographed here. We know when the avenues empty, which courtyards stay quiet and how to combine the city with a trip to the mountains. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Morning on the avenuesWe start early, among the mansions and the great squares.
  3. The Old TownLanes, arcades, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A coffeeA break in an old café, some rest.
  5. Sunset in the parkThe lake in golden light, the most tender part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

Can we also be photographed at a castle?

Yes. Peleș Castle, in the Carpathians, is about two hours from Bucharest and gives a completely fairy-tale setting. We check the photography rules in advance.

Which season is best?

Spring and autumn, with mild weather and beautiful colours in the parks.

Do you travel from Greece for the shoot?

Yes. We travel with you or meet you there. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the most popular seasons. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
