Milos

Couple photography among white rocks and colourful boathouses

The rock under your feet is white and smooth as chalk. Around you there is only sea, in a turquoise that hardly looks real.

Milos is like no other island. Every shore has a different colour, a different stone, a different kind of silence.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Milos

An island shaped by a volcano

White, red and ochre rocks, caves and little coves, fishing villages with boats beneath the houses. Milos has a variety you rarely find on a single island.

For a couple this means different stories in a single day: from the lunar landscape of Sarakiniko to the lanes of Plaka at sunset.

It is the perfect setting for your wedding, for an after-wedding session a few days later, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

In Milos the stone reflects the light. Mornings are clear and bright, afternoons warm and low.

Morning

The white rocks

Soft light on the chalk-white stone and turquoise water. Quiet hours before the swimmers arrive.

Afternoon

The fishing villages

Colourful doors, boats and the sea almost inside the houses.

Sunset

The Kastro

From the top of Plaka the sun sets over the bay. Warm light and an open horizon.

The places

Where we photograph

We plan the route together, depending on the light, the wind and how much you want to move around.

  • SarakinikoWhite volcanic rocks that look like the surface of the moon.
  • KlimaThe colourful fishermen's boathouses right on the water.
  • Plaka & KastroWhite lanes and the most beautiful view at sunset.
  • Mandrakia & FiropotamosSmall harbours with boats and peace and quiet.
  • KleftikoRocks and sea caves out in the water, reached by boat.

Before you come

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

From May to October. June and September have warm water and fewer people. In July and August the meltemi often blows, so we adapt the route to the wind.

The time that matters

The best-known spots fill up from midday, so we start early. We keep the sunset for Plaka or a quiet little harbour.

Styling

Light colours and natural fabrics such as linen and cotton blend with the stone and the sea. White or a bold colour stands out against the turquoise. The rocks call for comfortable shoes: we change before each frame.

The experience with us

We know which shore to choose each day

We have photographed couples here. We know which shore is sheltered when the wind blows, when Sarakiniko empties and where the sunset looks its best. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Morning on the rocksWe start early, while the light is soft and the shores are empty.
  3. The fishing villagesWalking among the boathouses, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A breakA swim, a meal by the sea, rest while the sun is high.
  5. Sunset from the KastroThe bay golden at your feet, the most tender part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best photo spots in Milos?

Sarakiniko for the white rocks, Klima for the colourful boathouses and Plaka for the sunset. We combine them depending on the light and the wind.

Can we be photographed on a boat?

Yes. A boat trip to Kleftiko or to shores you can only reach by sea gives images you simply cannot get from land.

Can you also photograph our wedding there?

Yes. We cover every wedding exclusively with a double team: four professionals, not two professionals and two assistants. Your couple session can take place on the day itself or a few days later, as an after-wedding shoot.

How do travel expenses work?

We are based in Patra and travel all over Greece, to the mainland and the islands. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the summer months. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
