Bride and groom overlooking Limeni bay in Mani

Mani

Couple photography among tower houses and wild sea

Stone, sea and sky. Nothing else. A tower house stands alone on the hill and the air smells of thyme.

Mani is not sweet. It is real, wild and quiet, and that is why it moves you.

This is the moment we came here to keep.

Why Mani

A landscape with character

Stone villages, tower houses, Byzantine churches, small coves with deep blue water. A rugged landscape that gives every image weight.

For a couple this means something different from the usual: less postcard, more atmosphere. Two people in a vast, silent landscape.

It is the perfect setting for your wedding, for an after-wedding session a few days later, for a pre-wedding shoot before the big day, or for an elopement just for the two of you.

The light

Three moments of the day, three different stories

In Mani the light is harsh at midday and magical at either end of the day. The stone turns from grey to gold.

Morning

The harbours

Still water, fishing boats and the first light on the stone houses.

Afternoon

The tower houses

Low sun on the stone, long shadows, warm tones.

Sunset

The edge of Greece

The sun sets over the Messinian Gulf. An open horizon and complete silence.

The places

Where we photograph

Mani is large. We plan the route together, depending on the light and how much driving you want to do.

  • LimeniThe little harbour with stone houses over turquoise water.
  • AreopoliCobbled streets, stone towers and churches.
  • VathiaThe village of tower houses on the hill.
  • GerolimenasA quiet harbour beneath the rock.
  • Cape TainaroThe southernmost point of mainland Greece and its lighthouse.

Before you come

Seasons, timing and what to wear

When to come

Spring brings green and wild flowers between the stones. Autumn has warm sea and soft light. In summer the midday sun is fierce, so we shoot early and late.

The time that matters

We start early for the harbours and keep the afternoon for the tower houses and the sunset. Distances mean driving, so we plan the order in advance.

Styling

The landscape is earthy and spare: white, ivory, ochre, or a deep colour that stands out against the stone. Flowing fabrics bring movement in the wind. The paths call for comfortable shoes.

The experience with us

We know Mani beyond the famous spots

We have photographed couples here. We know where the light falls in the afternoon, which harbours are quiet and how to combine the distances without tiring you out. So you live your day, and we take care of the rest.

  1. Before the tripWe talk about dates, styling and the kind of images that move you. We plan the route together.
  2. Morning in the harboursStill water, stone houses and the first coffee.
  3. The stone villagesWalking among the towers, a few gentle directions. We do not stage poses; we let you be together.
  4. A breakA meal by the sea, rest while the sun is high.
  5. The sunsetThe sun over the gulf, the most tender part of the day.

Frequently asked questions

Where is it best to stay for the shoot?

It depends on the spots we choose. Areopoli and Limeni are central and make moving around easy.

How much driving is involved?

Distances are short in kilometres but the roads are narrow. We plan the order so that we do not lose the good light in the car.

Can you also photograph our wedding there?

Yes. We cover every wedding exclusively with a double team: four professionals, not two professionals and two assistants. Your couple session can take place on the day itself or a few days later, as an after-wedding shoot.

How do travel expenses work?

We are based in Patra and travel all over Greece, to the mainland and the islands. Travel and accommodation costs are discussed from the start, so you know the full amount before you book.

Can we also have a film?

Yes, the photography can be combined with a wedding film. See examples on our Films page.

How early should we book?

The earlier the better, especially for the summer months. Tell us your dates and we will let you know our availability.
